Cisco 9 Bars Toastmasters Club

Since 1924, Toastmasters International has helped millions of men and women become more confident in front of an audience. Our network of clubs and their learn-by-doing program are sure to help you become a better speaker and leader. Why pay thousands of dollars for a seminar when you can join a Toastmasters club for a fraction of the cost and have fun in the process?
Whether you are a Cisco Employee or Channel Partner, in Sales or Support, your ability to effectively communicate with customers and co-workers drastically affects your performance. Good communications skills must be cultivated, they don't just come naturally; and contrary to popular belief, years of experience aren't necessarily the answer either since you could be practicing bad habits. Toastmasters provides a fun and friendly environment to practice your communications skills weekly and get solid feedback from your peers.
Each meeting is run by a Toastmaster (the Toastmaster position rotates among members each week), who sets the agenda and keeps the meeting on track. Members have opportunities for speaking either through a prepared speech or through impromptu speaking. These speaking opportunities allow members to progress through different Toastmaster workbooks and achieve Toastmasters designations which are respected worldwide! See the details here.
Cisco 9 Bars Toastmaster (named for the 9 bars in the Cisco logo, not a propensity for drinking), is made up of Cisco Employees and Chanel Partners in the Denver Metro area. We meet on the 1st and 3rd Friday of each month from 12-1 in the Englewood Cisco office; lunch is provided! We are dedicated to providing a fun and friendly environment in which professionals can help one another develop their communications skills. Sit in on one of our meetings to see what we are all about. Membership Info
